Help at our NEW East Palo Alto site
We are renting a house in East Palo Alto starting on March 1. We need help getting the house ready for us to move in—painting, cleaning, carpentry, moving sand etc. We have work days set up for Saturday, February 16, February 23 and March 1. If you cannot make those days, there are many many projects to be done after we move in. We could use your help ANY TIME!Earthquake Kits
We would love to have a group assemble one or more earthquake preparedness kits for each of our sites-simple kits including water, food and first aid supplies.Plan a Special Party
Do you have a favorite holiday? We still have some partying opportunities for 2008! Why not get a group together to plan a special party at one of our schools? We can assist you by recommending art projects, snacks and goody bag ideas.
Bring your musical instrument to class!
Our children and their parents benefit and greatly enjoy visitors with a special talent, such as playing a musical instrument during class time.Bring activities to Pamper our Parents
Our low-income families rarely have the time or money to do the fun things that can lift their spirits and improve their self esteem. They would love volunteers to come to teach them how to arrange flowers, decorate a cake, apply makeup, give them a facial, teach a gardening class—activities that help us feel good about ourselves!
