Greetings to all Students, Parents, and Teachers
Welcome to the 2006 Family Connections Graduation
I am Julia San Bartolome, and this is Denisse Gutierrez. We are proud to be part of the Family Connections Community. At Clara Mateo, students and parents and other extended family members come together for many reasons, but mainly to unite us as one family teaching our children the value of education and friendship.
In our classroom, we are led by our patient and caring teacher, Lorena. With her creativity and enthusiasm, we approach each day with a smile and follow through with tons of activities. Lorena fills our schedule with fun things like finger painting, story time, great sing-along songs, creative art projects and educational classes for us parents. Thank you to Lorena for making our childrens’ education a priority and always lending a helping hand and useful advice to us parents when we need it.
Mrs. Ruth Pinkus-Resnik, Education Coordinator, and Mrs. Debbie Denton, Community Liaison Coordinator, are frequent visitors and like second teachers here at Family Connections. These ladies are always coordinating fun field trips for us, or bringing in other educational activities for students and parents alike. At Clara Mateo, we are very grateful to the both of you. We appreciate all of your efforts and are grateful to have you in the lives of our children.
Our program is led by Executive Director, Renee Zimmerman. She keeps everything running smooth for us. Thank you Renee and to all the other staff members; Loree, Kathy, Missy, Lynette and Christina… You are the ones who make this happen for our children. Thank You.
Our Board members and other volunteers support us and allow us to keep this wonderful program alive. Without your aid, we would not be able to provide this vital opportunity to our children. Your investment into the future of our children will always be appreciated.
We would like to thank Sequoia Adult School for funding this special program that allows our children to have a strong educational foundation and allows us to interact with our children while interacting with others. You have given us a gift that is going to last a lifetime.
In closing, we would like to personally thank everyone that has contributed to the positive nature of our class. The friendships that we have formed with all the other parents, is something that we are very great full for. I look forward to watching all our children grow together… See you in the Summer or Fall!

Bienvenidos a la ceremonia de graduación del año 2006
Julia San Bartolomé y yo, Denise Gutierrez estamos muy orgullosas de ser parte de la comunidad de Family Connections. En Clara Mateo, los niños sus padres y otros integrantes de la familia se reúnen por muchas razones, pero la más importante es para unirnos como una sola familia y enseñarles a nuestros niños el valor de la educación y la amistad. En la clase, nuestra maestra, Lorena, nos guía con paciencia y afecto. Con su creatividad y entusiasmo, nos recibe cada día con una sonrisa y continúa gran cantidad de actividades. Lorena organiza nuestras mañanas con actividades divertidas como pintar con los dedos, contar cuentos, cantar todos juntas canciones, proyectos de arte creativos y clases educacionales para nosotros, los padres. Gracias Lorena poner como prioridad la educación de nuestros niños y por siempre extender tu mano para ayudarnos y darnos consejos útiles cuando los necesitamos.
Ruth Pinkus Resnik, la coordinadora de educación y Debbie Denton, la coordinadora de conexión con la comunidad, nos visitan con frecuencia y son como segundas maestras en Family Connections. Ellas coordinan paseos divertidos o traen otras actividades educacionales para los niños y los padres. En Clara Mateo estamos muy agradecidos de que estén presentes en la vida de nuestros niños.
Nuestro programa es liderado por la directora ejecutiva, Renee Zimmerman. Ella mantiene todo funcionado. Gracias Renee y todo el resto del equipo de trabajo, Loree, Kathy, Missy, Lynette y Christina. Ustedes son las que hacen que el programa siga en march para nuestros niños.
Los miembros del directorio y voluntarios nos permiten mantener este maravilloso programa con su apoyo. Sin su ayuda, se podría ofrecer esta vital oportunidad para nuestros niños. Su inversión en el futuro de nuestros niños será por siempre valorada.
Queremos agradecer al Sequoia Adult School por apoyar este programa que le permite a nuestros niños tener una base educacional sólida y nos permite a los padres interactuar con ellos, mientras ellos interactúan con otros. Nos han dado un regalo que durará toda la vida.
Para terminar, queremos agradecer a todos los que contribuyeron a crear el ambiente positivo en nuestra clase y por las amistades que formamos con los otros padres. Esperamos reencontrarnos en el verano o el otoño para ver crecer juntos a nuestros niños!!
